On the court experience

• Over thirty-five year veteran of the volleyball circuit

• Served as Assistant at the University of Florida with Olympians and Hall of Famers, Marilyn McReavy Nolen and Mary Jo Peppler

• Head Coach at Marshall University

• Coached at Houston Juniors Volleyball Club, at times serving as Director, Assistant Director and Head Coach.

• Qualified 14 teams for the USAV National Championships, including winning a Gold Medal in the 15 American division in 2007

• 2 USAV All America selections, 1 USAV All American MVP, 1 AAU All American, 4 USA A2 Team selections

• 94 athletes from Seghers’ teams have gone on to play in college

• Recipient of the USAV Lone Star Region Robert L Lindsay leadership in volleyball award

Off the court experience

• Two time Channelview ISD teacher of the year and the 2012 Clear Springs High School Teacher of the Year

• Seghers taught Biology at Clear Springs High School
